Who we are
Ünal Çakar is an independent, USHAŞ-licensed health-tourism facilitator who coordinates accredited clinics and licensed surgeons in Turkey on behalf of international patients. We are not a clinic, a hospital or a medical practice, and we do not provide medical care.
For the purposes of data-protection law, we act as the data controller for the personal information you share with us directly.
Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to provide when you contact us — typically your name, contact details (such as email, phone or WhatsApp number), country of residence, the treatment you are interested in, and any background you share to help us prepare an accurate quote. Where you describe a medical condition or treatment history, this may include health information, which is treated as a special category of data.
We also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit the website, such as your approximate location, device type and pages viewed. We do not ask for payment-card details; you pay the clinic directly, never us.
How we use your information
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to understand what you are looking for, and to share the relevant details with a suitable vetted clinic so that it can prepare an indicative, itemised quote. We also use it to coordinate your care end-to-end and to arrange aftercare, including a written care plan and scheduled follow-up.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Lawful basis (GDPR)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in responding to and coordinating your enquiry. For any health information you share, we rely on your explicit consent, given when you choose to send those details to us.
You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
Sharing with partner clinics
With your agreement, we share the details of your enquiry only with the specific vetted clinic best suited to your case, so that it can assess suitability and prepare a quote. We share what is necessary for that purpose and nothing more, and we do not broadcast your details across a marketplace or to multiple clinics at once.
Our coordination is free to you and is funded by our partner clinics. This does not change how carefully we protect your information or how narrowly we share it.
Data retention
We keep your information only for as long as needed to coordinate your care, provide aftercare and meet any legal or record-keeping obligations. If your enquiry does not proceed, we keep it for a limited period and then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to request a copy in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies and privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used and to improve it. These do not identify you personally.

Because we coordinate treatment in Turkey, sharing your enquiry with a clinic may involve transferring your information outside the UK or the European Economic Area.
